The Oak residence demonstrates our team’s skill for creating projects to suit a range of demographics and, as a result, redefines the parameters for townhouse living.
The project is a dual-occupancy development sited on a square-shaped block, offering two levels of contemporary living and bedroom space each. A core component was to design a unified, seamless look between each dwelling by erecting a vertical steel screen that extends along the upper and lower levels of both.
Every centimetre is cleverly utilised to optimise open and light-filled living, and generous balcony and courtyard spaces that provide a highly adaptable floor plan across both levels.
This included the outdoor areas. The front space allowed use in any weather conditions with undercover and exposed sections. The north facing orientation meant the sun was always prominent and could be well and truly captured. Established trees and feature plants were brought in to satisfy the type of result this space commanded.
Ultimately, the screen delivers sophistication, protection and immediate street appeal, which is complemented by Oak’s interior living spaces
Not only does this offer environmental benefits by mediating sun control, but it also adds privacy to the spaces behind them, comprising the house’s primary living areas oriented to face north. Together, they are cleverly designed to appeal to diverse future residents.
